The Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show, organized by the Global Down Syndrome Foundation (GLOBAL), is the world's largest fundraiser in support of people with this condition. It has raised more than $24 million since its inception, including $1.9 million via its virtual celebration on November 13. The event attracted more than 2,500 viewers from 14 countries and featured 2021 GLOBAL ambassadors and Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy awardees John Lynch, general manager of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers, Peruvian public servant Bryan Russell Mujica, and Archie and Sevy Eicher.

In addition, many celebrities and athletes, including Grey's Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone and Denver Broncos players Justin Simmons and Brandon McManus, attended the event. Entertainers Matthew Morrison and Sara Bareilles performed for attendees. Bareilles performed her hit songs "Brave" and "I Choose You" and spoke about her uncle Brian, who had Down syndrome.

DeOndra Dixon, the late sister of actor Jamie Foxx, was also honored during the event. GLOBAL raises money to address healthcare inequity for Black Americans with Down syndrome through the DeOndra Dixon Down Syndrome Research Fund.
